Isn't this another wonderful day the Lord has made???
My name is Robert Lawrence and I currently park my scoot on the outskirts of Madisonville Kentucky.
I have been a no good, lyin', cheatin', stealin', backstabbin', scoundrel for most of my life. BUT! Since November 21 1991 I have been a bonafide, born again child of the King!
All praise and glory be to God!
I am married to a wonderful wife of 20 years and have 2 great kids and 4 awesome grandkids.
My passions in this life are Christ, family, bikes, and guns. In that order. Been a member of BFC since February of this year and currently spend what free time I have riding and hanging around with the BFC chapter in Surgis Kentucky.
Started the actual joining process ifor BFC in August of last year and spent the remainder of 2007 and the first couple of months of 2008 in prayer and discussion with my wife and Pastor trying to find the Lords will in this matter.
I feel that when we put that patch on our backs and take it to the streets we have become undeniable representatives of the Lord, to me this is something that should in no way be taken lightly. Walking around town in our "civilian" clothes if we mess up and act a fool no one is the wiser, to them we are just another "person". But, put that patch and you are telling the world; "Hey look at me, watch what I do, I am Christian." And believe me, they watch every move you make.
In my eyes this is an awesome responsibilty and I had to make sure this was where the Lord wanted me and not just something I wanted to do.
Since having the patch sewed on my vest it has opened several doors for witnessing opportunities, seems as if there is someone who is touched by it everytime I ride.
Over the course of these past several months I have felt at times as if "I" wasn't right with God or maybe I just wasn't where He wanted me and I would take off the vest and hang it in the closet. Every single time I have done that the Lord would almost instantly put someone or something in my path that would clearly tell me that this is where I truly belong. Makes me feel like a rambunctious pup that takes off running in the wrong direction and hits the end of the leash at full speed, ends up sitting on his hindend facing the Master with his tongue hanging out and a stupid look on his face wondering what just happened, 'cept my tongue ain't hanging out, well not usually anyway. I just pray He always lets me know where my limitations are.
Thats all for now my Brothers and Sisters!
I pray Gods blessing and protection on each and everyone of us, that He will guide and protect us on the road, and continually place opportunities in our path so that we may show His love to those in need.
That He will make us quick to listen and slow to speak, and that He will always still our tongues in times of anger.
I pray that everyone who sees us on the highway realizes that the Lord has truly worked a miracle in our lives and that this realization will stir up a desire in their hearts to learn more about our Lord and Saviour.
In Jesus name, Amen!
