Hey guys thought i would vent a little here on the board. LOL just thought I would share what I've been thru this week with my bike. I've been trying to find a set of apes for my bike for a while now, the cheapest bars I could find locally thru the shop was 190.00. Fortunately I was able to locate a set of 16" 1 1/4 apes from Jireh Cycles for 69.99. Man what a deal, so I thought. I then begin to look for someone to install them. I got a quote today from a shop in Henderson, I want mention any names but to purchase the cables and have them install the apes for me was going to cost over 600.00. So it looks like I'll be doing some of the work myself along with the local shop owner's help I hope to have them installed next week. Sorry for ranting on just though some of you may have had a similar experience and would like to share. God Bless. Sonny

Well the bike is finally done. I took her out for a ride today and loved the new bars. Sorry for ranting on earlier. If you take your time I guess anything is possible.

Glad you got them installed. Post a pic if you get a chance.
Most of these things look a lot harder than they are. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but usually if I'm patient enough I find out that I can install most of the bolt on stuff with no problem.

They feel great even at 60 mph with the back tire blown out. I blew the back tire yesterday on my way home from a day of riding. What a ride that was. Praise God for keeping the bike upright.
